Trigger Stop Pin
Trigger Stop Pin
This Trigger Stop Pin is designed and manufactured as part of the Sig Mechanics Over-Engineered Parts Project and is a direct replacement to the SIG factory part 1300827-R.
--
The OE Trigger Stop Pin has been engineered to be the highest quality version of the factory equivalent. Unlike SIG factory parts which are metal injection molded from a powdered stainless steel, Sig Mechanics Over-Engineered Parts are CNC machined from bar stock using a special grade of tool steel called S7. A steel that is generally reserved for mechanical parts used in high-impact and high-stress environments.
While S7 tool steel makes these pins substantially over-engineered for their intended application, there are also improvements to both mechanical performance and increased perceived trigger "feel" due to the finishing processes involved. To begin, each OE pin has been hardened to a robust 55HRC, then electro-plated for corrosion resistance and ultimately, micro-polished to a smooth, "glass-like" surface finish that reduces friction between mechanical parts during a trigger pull.

WHAT IS THE OVER-ENGINEERED PARTS PROJECT:
The foundation of the Over-Engineered Parts Project is to leverage Sig Mechanics' associations in manufacturing to create ultra high-quality parts for the Sig Community (at a price point that respects those who support it). This means that all Over-Engineered Parts will not only exceed factory specifications, but are priced similarly to standard Sig factory parts, giving the Sig Community better replacement options, without compromising quality.
